Terms and Conditions for Putney Skip Hire

Introduction

Welcome to Putney Skip Hire. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our skip hire services. By booking a skip with us, you agree to abide by these terms. Please read them carefully to understand your rights and obligations.

Booking Process

Reservations and Confirmations

To reserve a skip, customers must provide accurate information during the booking process. Once a booking is made, a confirmation will be sent via email or SMS. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the details are correct.

Payment Terms

Pricing and Charges

Our pricing structure is transparent and based on the size of the skip and the rental duration. Additional charges may apply for exceeding the weight limit or for prolonged hire periods.

Payment Methods

We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and online payment systems. Full payment is required at the time of booking unless prior arrangements are made.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Fees

Customers may cancel their booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled delivery without incurring any fees. Cancellations made within 48 hours of delivery may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the booking cost.

Delivery and Collection

Delivery Timeframe

We strive to deliver skips within the agreed timeframe. However, we are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control, such as extreme weather conditions or traffic disruptions.

Collection

At the end of the hire period, we will arrange for the skip to be collected. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the skip is accessible for collection at the agreed time.

Usage Guidelines

Permitted and Prohibited Items

Customers must adhere to the list of prohibited items, which includes hazardous materials, asbestos, and other restricted substances. Proper segregation of waste is required to facilitate recycling and disposal.

Placement of Skip

Skips must be placed on stable, level ground and should not obstruct pathways, driveways, or public access areas. It is the customer's responsibility to obtain any necessary permits for placement on public property.

Liability and Insurance

Damage to Property

While we take care during delivery and collection, customers are responsible for any damage to their property caused by the skip placement or removal. It is advisable to inspect the area beforehand to prevent potential damages.

Liability Limits

Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the hire of the skip. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our services.

Safety Regulations

User Responsibilities

Customers must ensure that the skip is not overloaded beyond its capacity. Overloading can pose safety risks and may lead to additional charges or enforcement actions.

Important: Adherence to safety guidelines is mandatory to prevent accidents and ensure the efficient operation of our skip hire service.

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from the use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the UK.

Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
